Welcome to Blue Barn Berry Farm! Thank you for stopping by – we’re excited to share our beautiful venue with you as you walk through your self-guided tour.
*If you're visiting during the off season the front gate may be closed. You can park outside the gate and walk in or if it's clear of snow you can use the open lakeside entrance that leads to the event building.
Parking – The parking lot located on the east side of the property has ample parking for up to 250 guests. Your guests will be assisted by our parking attendants (starting 30 minutes before the ceremony) to ensure a smooth and easy parking process. The lighted posts help your guests safely find their cars and depart at the end of the evening. If any of our guests feel uncomfortable or unable to drive at the end of the evening, they are welcome (and encouraged!) to leave their vehicles overnight and can pick them up the next day before 10am)
As you enter the event building through the French doors, check out the beautiful interior: twinkle lights pre-installed, large dance floor in the center, and scenic views of the lake and berry farm. All our window panels are retractable, which allows for open fresh air on calm sunny days but also provides the flexibility for some or all of the building to be closed up if weather/temperature require. Best of all? Because of the custom-engineered clear paneling, you and your guests won’t miss out on the view no matter what!
We provide (up to 21) round 60” and (8) 8’ banquet tables that seat up to eight guests per table. Up to 355 white resin padded chairs are included as well. (*White or ivory table linens are also included in the standard wedding package)
On side A, notice two discreet doors located beside the faux windows. These doors open into our food buffet room. Your guests will enter in one door and exit the other for quick and flawless flow through the double sided buffet line. At the conclusion of food service, the staff will close the room and clean up without disturbing your celebration.
Your dance floor is located in the center of the building. Dance the evening away under the bistro lights with ample space to keep the party going. Our DJ’s typically set in the alcove along the backwall. Your wedding party (or Sweetheart Table) is positioned on the lake side, centered for all the guests to easily see
The Bar Service window is located on Side B (west side of the building). Blue Barn’s permit allows for beer, wine and champagne. Our in-house bartenders handle it all; from bar setup to everything needed for a great evening (ie. cups, ice, and, of course, the booze!) No outside alcohol is permitted on the premises, per Indiana State Law.
There are several ceremony location options for the big “I do!” We have a permanent arch facing northwest that can be easily decorated to fit your style, or a landscaped area facing northeast if you’d like to kick it B.Y.O.A-style (Bring Your Own Arbor!)
We are currently under construction for spacious men's and women's bathrooms located on the west side of the building.
The newly constructed bathrooms will have 2 stalls in the women's and 2 urinals and a stall in the men's. Exiting the bathroom hallway, you'll leave through the French doors into the new covered patio with stamped concrete (still being completed). We are looking forward to this great addition for the 2021 season.
As you continue walking to the far side of the building, you’ll enter the outside courtyard and game area. Once we thaw out from the winter, our courtyard will come to life. The game area will be set-up for your event day with mini golf, corn hole, giant Connect 4, a kiddie fishing-hole, hook and ring and more, allowing hours of fun for kids off all ages.
Included in the wedding package is the Harvest Event Room located in the Blue Barn building. That space is reserve on event days as a bridal prep room. The room is equipped with a refrigerator and kitchenette along with a bathroom that guest have access to all evening. The room is beautifully decorated and temperature controlled making it a great space to hang out in until show time. We offer breakfast and lunch options to truly pamper your bridal party and make it extra special.
